Hi, all.
My name is PITA (pronounced pee-TAH) and I’m an aspiring musician/producer/writer out of Detroit, MI. I’ve been doing music for over thirteen years now! I’ve done several projects and productions over the course of the last ten years to hone my craft. Under my stage moniker, Phokuzd, I have posted music to sites from datpiff to soundcloud and can even be pinged on such search engines as Google, Yahoo, etc.

^^most recent material
This particular project, “The Year of Four Emperors”, is more or less my first ‘major’ release and I hope to do not only the recording, production, and part of the mixing and marketing experience, but to press up hard copies and get them out to at least three or four strategic locations. The tape, itself, is set to a four year experience and an emotional roller coaster known as my life.
The six thousand is a start up but i’m looking to do a plentiful amount of ground work to see that myself, as well as the others heavily invested in this project, are highly satisfied with the turn out!
Wish me luck…

This track is not for sale, but is of promotional value.
This song came together, when I was singing A$AP Rocky in the crib. We all get called crazy here and there. I like to prove my critics right, so I hear..

Lost Mind v.1
I used to think a nigga belong to be wrong
Harder to get over than a bad bitch when she cheat on
You and your relation for a one night sensation
Fuck a bitch amazing though lately just stick to blazing
My nigga called to get an eight in, we bout to blow it down
Turn up as the weed burn up that smoke is floating round
While I’m screaming vamanos, even a nigga mama know
I’m not suited for the drama lost my mind a long time ago
Far as my rhyming flow superb like the herb and vocab
Smoking helly kill, my nigga just rolled a moab
Thats call of duty for the duly inept, crew to my left
Last Real, you other niggas cue in respect
I’m losing connection to what niggas call reality
Writing my incite can make a lot of niggas mad at me
But as a genius story unfold into tragedy
I’d like to sit think I never suffered my insanity
Blame the vicious cycle cyphering to get a title
Always had the drive its ike my engine alway idle
Why though? Do not look at me as if I know
I been told I write cold I do this with my eyes close
I know I sicken them niggas they hos listening
Mad I’m getting chose off flows bout what we living in
You pretty boy Fabio, your lady saying adios
Please respect the steez I lost my mind a long time ago
Long as we grinding though wine and dine when time is low
No saving super mario all I do is pipe and go
I’m way too bright to slow my train for the games
I take the stage, then vidi vici a nigga make a name
After that I’m taking aim at the fucking one spot
This aint even rap baby I’ma call it funk hop
Shout to ASAP play this wit the trunk popped
Signing off its Phokuzd reminding you why you want not
You want to know what hip hop is? The movement of knowledge. What moves knowledge faster than the people?
Ponder that.
Well, with that said, I just want to say if you like the knowledge I drop, tell a friend or two or three or four. But the DISCLAIMER reads, at your own discretion.
The Future: An Update of Sorts.
If you’ve been doing much following of the music as of late, “The Year” has taken somewhat of a backseat. Why? I’m working on something major so naturally I wouldn’t promise you something and not deliver! The tape is done but not ready for release. I refuse to leave you hanging like I admit I might have sometime after “The Love Lost EP” dropped in January. Look for the Year somewhere in May. A lot has transpired thus far so with all that said, expect perfection.
What is the Year?
Um, I released my fifth and most important (thus far) project, “RideOutMusic” in 2010/11 and the response was pretty decent to be a nobody out of Michigan. But truthfully, If you ever knew about my older stuff, I did a tape called “Br4nd N3w 10is Sh00z” a few years ago and end up homeless at the end of the summer. That sucked, but this tape chronicles the four years following that experience and the growth that took place along the way! There is so much I want to tell you but cannot give away! But I will say the project has altered a bit in 2012 to allow for some more recent story that was breifly discussed in “The Love Lost EP”.
Wish Me Well.
